Junior Rangers
The Cayman Islands Mangrove Rangers have launched our new Junior Ranger program!
Following our Mangrove Discovery Camp we received a large amount of interest from parents and students alike about how younger people can get involved with the Mangrove Rangers.
The Junior Ranger program follows the same format as the Scouts/Guides. Members will have the opportunity to learn science-based skills to earn them a special badge of recognition. Each activity and topic will incorporate hands-on learning and allow the members to engage in unique science based activities such as birding, insect identification, seagrass monitoring and more!
Our next Junior Ranger training event will be held on September 23rd 2023 for all prospective JRs.
Full program September 2023 - June 2024
All participants must be between the ages of 8 and 14, be willing and able to join monthly meetings and have an interest in the environment and costal lagoon ecosystems.
